Jay Hack CFP®, MBA
Jay is a Certified Financial Planner® who provides personalized financial guidance. He believes in comprehensive planning that considers multiple facets of a client’s life with the goal of helping people bring individual financial decisions into alignment with their values. Discussions with Jay go from the big picture which helps his clients identify what needs should be addressed, then moves to specific actions to help them best orchestrate their ideal financial life.
A driven doer, Jay tends to attract clients with similar personalities—they’re excited to make the most of every moment in life, and they enjoy staying active through hobbies or charitable endeavors. His favorite part of his job is being able to walk through life aligned with his clients and help them take the steps that lead to incredible accomplishments.
Lowell Weiss JD, CFP®
Lowell is an advisor who provides full-service financial management for clients, from comprehensive planning to investment management. His clients are the kind of people who are passionate about life and ready to engage in the planning process; they’re also happy to offload the burden of identifying exactly what to do and when. Lowell’s father taught him that the best thing you can give a client is that moment where they metaphorically wipe the sweat off their brow and say, “Phew—I’m so glad I found this team.” And that’s what Lowell aims for—he creates a collaborative space where clients can discuss their fears, concerns, and goals, and helps them design a plan that shows them where they are, where they’re headed, and how to live their ideal life.
As Waycrest’s Operating Partner, Lowell also oversees the initiatives that keep the firm moving forward and creatively serving clients with excellence.

Through his focused conversations and guidance, his goal is to give clients comfort in their financial situations and confidence that they can accomplish their goals. By maintaining strong, communicative relationships, Paul helps clients keep their investments aligned with their ever-evolving goals and gives them peace of mind that a trusted professional is looking out for their best interests.
Paul spent many years contributing to his community and has served as president of various charitable organizations. He also spent 20 years as a pilot, flying across the U.S. east of the Mississippi. Today, he enjoys staying active by golfing and cycling.
Leonard Weiss
A nearly 50-year industry veteran, Lenny serves as our “economic weatherman.” He is both a guide and watchman, helping our team spot risks and opportunities for clients so they can pave the best path to their goals. He is our technical analysis guru, constantly researching the markets and sharing his insights with the team so our advisors can offer well-informed, relevant investment advice. For decades, Lenny’s mission has been to safeguard his clients’ financial wellbeing, and today he leverages his expertise to help us develop highly efficient, custom financial plans that empower our clients to maximize their success.
Lenny enjoys spending his free time with his grandkids (Ben and Bex), golfing, and cheering on Detroit sports teams. He especially loves hockey and will watch any game, at any level, whenever he can.
Joei Scarantino
Joei starts her day with one mission in mind: do everything possible to help our clients. She started working with Paul in 1994, and she is an incredibly talented utility player. Anything that impacts the client experience at Waycrest falls under her domain, from welcoming them into the office to maintaining our Lifecycle Recognition program. She oversees admin responsibilities, and in general, makes sure our team is operating at an exceptional level. With her 30-plus years in the business and passion for client service, she plays a key role in ensuring clients feel heard, cared for, and empowered throughout their planning experience.
Outside of work, Joei pours her passion into rescue dogs. She works with several rescues in the Detroit area to help save at-risk pups who need loving homes.
Angela McCoy
When it comes to helping clients with the everyday tasks involved in financial planning, Angela is a key point of contact for our firm. She ensures nothing falls through the cracks, assisting clients with a variety of administrative tasks including account intake, money movement, and scheduling. With more than two decades in the industry and 14-plus years with our practice, she is adept at collaborating with both clients and advisors to ensure their needs are met in a timely, efficient manner. Her goal is to cultivate an environment where clients are well cared for, happy, and in the best possible position to meet their financial goals.
Outside the office, Angela loves spending time with her husband and grandchildren. She is also a major college football fan and roots for the Michigan Wolverines (much to Lowell’s chagrin). In the fall (her favorite season), you can count on her to spend a few moments each week debating football with our firm’s number one Ohio State fan.
Brittany Willer
Brittany is Waycrest’s client-service guru. She helps open accounts, performs account maintenance, assists with rollovers and transfers, and in general, makes sure our clients have the support they need in managing their wealth. With her proactive approach and personable nature, she ensures clients feel informed and at ease throughout the planning process. Brittany started her financial services career in 2012, and she joined the Waycrest team in 2025.
Brittany is a passionate sports fan—she watches every NFL game possible (Go Lions!), attends the Cincinnati Open every year, and follows professional disc golf. In her spare time, she enjoys mountain biking with her husband Pau, playing disc golf, and strength training.
